ABOUT
I’m Muneeb Arain, a senior UX designer in Portland, Oregon. Over the last seven years my work has covered an unusual amount of ground — enterprise platforms and internal tools, immersive physical spaces, and brand-led websites for some of the world’s most recognizable names.
My path into UX ran through branding, editorial, and print — which is probably why I care equally about the pixel and the system that produced it. I do my best work where disciplines overlap: where a design system meets a deadline, where a screen meets a room, and where research meets a stakeholder with a strong opinion.

HOW I WORK
( 1 )
EVIDENCE FIRST
Research isn’t a phase — it’s the tiebreaker. When priorities pull in different directions, user evidence makes the call. It’s how I’ve earned trust as the only designer in the room.
( 2 )
SYSTEMS OVER SCREENS
A good screen solves today; a good system keeps solving after I’m gone. Tokens, patterns, and rules that let teams keep moving without me.
( 3 )
BUILT TO SHIP
I stay close to engineering from day one — feasibility pressure-tested early, files kept implementation-ready, no design that dies in handoff.

KIND WORDS — FROM PEOPLE WHO MANAGED ME
“Muneeb consistently demonstrated strong systems thinking — zooming out to juggle user needs, business objectives and technical constraints, while still delivering thoughtful design solutions. He succeeded by bringing clarity through structured exploration, user-centered priorities, and iterative prototyping.”
“One of the more technically savvy Senior Designers I have worked with. He was on one of Nike’s top replatforming priorities and delivered despite pivots and ambiguity — an effective advocate for user experience even on tight, immovable deadlines.”
