TIMELINE
2026 — Live

(A) CONTEXT
Three teams, one historic corner, and a city waiting for its first look.
In 2030, the 76ers, the Flyers, and Philadelphia’s WNBA expansion team move into a shared arena at Broad & Pattison — built on the footprint of the Spectrum, the most storied ground in Philadelphia sports. For the partnership behind the project, Comcast Spectacor and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, the announcement had one audience that mattered most: the fans.
The Philly Arena microsite is that announcement — the public’s first look at the design, the site, and what it means for the city. I led design on the site as UX designer at Elevate, taking it from brief through stakeholder rounds to launch. The site is live today at thephillyarena.com.
(B) THE SITE — ONE SCROLL, ONE STORY
Let the building do the talking.
An announcement site has one job: deliver the first look with the reverence the moment deserves, then get out of the way. The design leads with full-bleed renders — the plaza at dusk, the arena rising over Broad Street — under one condensed headline: A new era at Broad & Pattison. Type stays restrained and confident, the palette takes its warmth from the renders’ dusk light, and the three team marks sit side by side in the nav — parity by design, the same principle the arena itself was planned around.
The page unfolds as a single scrolling narrative: the reveal, the legacy of the ground — from the Spectrum era to today — the design up close through a guided gallery, and answers to the questions fans actually ask. One call to action anchors everything: follow the journey. For a building that opens in 2030, an announcement isn’t a moment — it’s the start of a years-long relationship, and the site is built to begin it.

(C) THE WORK BEHIND IT
One vision, many stakeholders.
A project like this has no single client. Feedback arrived from two ownership organizations, team brand guardians, and the architects — each with a legitimate stake in how a once-in-a-generation project met the public. My job as lead designer was to absorb every round of it, keep the site speaking in one coherent voice, and advocate for the fan’s experience whenever priorities pulled in different directions.
The result shipped, and it reads the way the project’s own design narrative promised: authentically Philadelphia. The site now carries the announcement through opening night in 2030 — a foundation built to grow with the arena it introduces.
